The cave of Sykia is located on the west side of Milos and is a natural monument that leaves the visitor dazzled. What makes it special is that part of the roof has collapsed, creating a hole overlooking the sky. It is probable that the collapse occurred after an earthquake. A natural skylight was created by the fall letting the sun’s rays illuminate the interior of the cave and create beautiful colors.
